GUNS. Artists Respond

For More Information:

Exhibition

April 14 to May 18, 2018

Location

Swords into Plowshares Peace Center and Gallery

Exhibition Description

"Meet the artists who, through various media, express outrage, sadness, and concern about guns, and the death and destruction they produce. Artists have a unique role to play within the global struggle for peace and the elimination of gun violence in our country. This exhibit is presented by Women's Caucus for the Arts, Michigan Chapter, and supported by Mom's Demand Action.

Driven by concern with the overwhelming availability of firearms and the national crisis faced by the use of guns in our society, this show calls for art that explores the impact of guns on our communities, particularly through the big business of gun sales. A percentage of the entry fees will be donated to “Mothers Demand Action” and “Mothers of Murdered Children”. For details about the Guns in the Hands of Artists exhibit, visit the WCAMI blog, miwca.wordpress.com."
